Found a book in loft. Is it worth anything ?

 

Says : commemorative stamp issues and first day covers 1978 with solid sterling

Stanley Gibbons used to be the de facto book to consult when I was a teenager. Don't forget that the prices people want to sell things for aren't normally anywhere near the price you'll be offered for them though.

 

If you had this one in your book then be prepared for a lifestyle alteration!

Cheers ! Yes that second eBay one looks identical.

 

Turn out they belonged to my Wife's Grandad.

Their are 6 of them altogether. It's even in its origional box it was sent in !
