Replacing radiator

Featured Replies

Going to replace the rad as I think there is possibly a small hole in it.  Will it lift out if the slam panel is removed or does the front bumper have to come off?

From experience on other cars, I've always taken the bumper off, it literally only adds another 10 minutes to the job so not a big issue.

I replaced my rad last year after a car / deer interface. Fortunately the aircon condenser survived - the plastic side of the rad cracked.

Aanyway, in my experience I would say that you've got no chance of doing the job without removing the front bumper. That said, as above, it's a simple task to remove it.

Best of luck, let us know how you get on!

Car/deer interface doesn't sound too pleasant. Bet it made a mess of the front.

Thanks for the advice guys. Going to swap it in a couple of weeks when I have a car fettling day. Got a few other jobs to do like change the pickup pipe, service, rear window regulator and tint the rear windows.
