maxidot display - No option for radio setting

Featured Replies

Hope some of you Octavia lads and lassies can help me with this...

I've got an Elegance version with the standard 'stream' radio fitted.

I had the maxidot display and multi function steering wheel added.

I was quite happy with both of these items untill I read a few comments on Briskoda, saying that people had the radio channel details and cd track details showing on their maxidot display. I don't have either showing on mine. :( I've looked into the options menu of the maxidot, (hold the rocker switch for a couple of seconds then scroll down etc) but I find no mention of 'audio' in it.

I sure there is someone out there with the same motor as me, elegance 1.9tdi, stream radio, maxidot, mf wheel, who could tell me if their maxidot is working the same as mine or not. :)

You have to press down on the OBC stalk (you know the arrows that cicle through the menu) the arrow pointing down and a menu will appear. Navigate through it and you will find what you like. There are a few other options that you might like.

I think he has tried that from his orginal post. The only thing I can think of is that the stream radio appears to have been updated at somepoint as the connections are different at the rear so possibly it may only be available on the later units.

PS you aint missing much, its pointless if you ask me as it gives even less info than the streams display.

PPS Hasn't VAG heard of CD Text? Why have a bloody large display like it has and only show track and time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
