VRS with Eibach Pro Kit - creaking sound

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have installed Eibach Pro Kit on MY16 Octavia VRS and now can hear creaking sound/noise on front end.

It is not loud and it can be heard only in a specific situations eg. driving over speed bumps, climbing up the curb... basically when ever there is a rapid height change combined with slow/slower speed.

I have went back to the shop where they installed Eibach springs, demonstrate the sound, and after they checked everything they said they don't see any issues and the sound is acceptable because the car is lowered now.

As I am not sure what to do now and should I just ignore the sound wanted to check does anyone have similar experience with the same setup?

Thanks.

not sure but had similar problems with bushings on my alfa 156 - solved, albeit temporarily, with a generous spray of silicone lubricant

The bolts through the lower bushings has to be tighten with the car on the ground.

Thanks for the suggestion. I can try this and see if that is the root cause of the issue, even though I doubt that bushings are the culprit due to the fact that car is still basically new and has only 20000 km

I heard about that procedure and to be honest don't know how they did it in the shop, but they are dealing only with this kind of car modifications, so I guess they know what they are doing... but you never know.
