If they kept on being asked why not and to justify their position and journalists publish their response each time they did a road test............maybe?

Either way, on a distance basis it's still pretty pathetic and little more than the current one.

The US gets better warranties than the rest of the world and has done for decades. Can't see that changing.

 

Over here we also have the 6yr of the sales of goods Act / Consumer rights Act beyond warranty but most people don't go down that road because it's hard.

.....and keen lawyers 

So that warranty must be on Petrol & Hybrid models as VW are not going to be selling Diesels in North America.

12,000 miles a year / 6 Year Warranty is hardly revolutionary just for VW Group really were Customers do not need to pay extra for Warranties beyond 2 or 3 years.
