Welcome to Briskoda. In your place I would buy the latest, lowest mileage one I could within my budget. This would come with the balance of the 3 year/60K warranty plus breakdown cover. On the other hand if you are thinking of mods - as many members here do - then you could choose to spend less by going for an earlier car and choose the mods you want. Or keep a watch on our For Sale section where there have been some excellent cars for sale - modded and otherwise.

Thanks for the advice so far. I'm not into modding things too much, so a standard car is at the top of my list. Is it me, or do the black cars seem to cost more than the other colours?

I too would be looking for something with a warranty and low mileage. There should be plenty in your price range that should fit the bill.
