We have a wireless reversing camera fitted to our caravan. When we got our Superb L&K i tried plugging in the receiver to the U.S.B. socket with no result/ picture any idea's ?

Out of range?  Could be materials between the two ends are dropping the signal levels too far.

Did think of that but when i put the original monitor on it worked o.k. My thought was if the reversing camera radio receiver was wired normal i could use the Colubus screen in the car...............

Depends upon what video signal the Columbus works with.  There are multiple video formats (analogue & digital), multiple resolutions (720x576 SD is the maximum native one Columbus properly supports without going black screen), multiple peak-to-peak voltages.  Unfortunately it isn't that simple.
