Fuel system priming noises (pd105)

Featured Replies

Here's the thing...washed the car one day, hadn't used the car prior to this momentus and rash decision. I put the wipers in the maintenance position by turning the ignition on then off, dabbed the wiper stalk and bingo!...all good. Washed the car etc etc...a few hours later started it up to go out and I was welcomed by a rattling noise rather than the usual sound of fuel being pumped and the system priming. It started ok, the rattle went after about 5 secs or so. This has happened subsequently after washing also. Since these events when the motor is started it doesn't make the usual noises ie. the sound of the fuel system priming.

Anyone been here before?
