Are you using genuine VCP? mine does not ask for a password.

I tried to unlock the VIM with Vag Can Pro but I can not get it because of this error "error opening communication with ECU"
how can I do?
I put the picture of the error

Octavia 3 2013 / columbus mib1 / VCP 5.5.1

Are you using genuine VCP?

I have only done this on 3 different models (all MQB) but all took the coding without issue. (following the instructions)

you will need “VCP Pro + VIM"

The cable I do not know if it is genuine because it is not mine, I lent it to him, I know it has version 5.5.1 and you do not upgrade!

But they told me they went to GOLF 7

I suspect there is your problem then... it’s a hacked copy

Alas - VIM manager on my genuine cable works flawlessly...
