Front Bumper Insert

Featured Replies

Can I get this insert open not closed as it is. I want it like a grill with holes being able to draw in air to force feed the air box?

There's these on Amazon.

Thanks. I was looking on eBay and saw nothing. Thought skoda would have had these as an optional extra as with holes and air being circulated it would cool the brake discs down also. That's how it was on my evo.

I just put a drill through it....

The ones posted are the best option though. Easily.

I USED A DREMMEL AND OPENED IT UP FROM THE BACK :) only £10 each new so no biggy if it goes wrong.

I was thinking the same thing myself only using a drill lol. Would like as much air as possible being fed in to cool the brake discs and force feed the air box as induction

yeah i just skimmed full back off mine.

Looks better that way and don't know why skoda put that guard on the back as serves no purpose and looks naff. If it keeps dry today I'll make a start on it. Have some ducting for behind there to fit also so the air is directed where I want it to go. :D

yeah i just bought new lower bumper vents so gonna do it again :)

I'm sure the standard ones on my early non VRS was a mesh anyway. I don't have that car anymore to check though.  Just wonder if they would fit. Still, your method costs nothing but time.

Yep local vw skoda dismantler said early octavias had no backing but I'm going to try this and cut it out as have ducting to fit anyway if the rain stays away lol. Anything to try and get a bit more BHP lol
