Engine number is CAY G14618 1598cc but my haynes manual only has the PD unit injector or Common Rail is is mine some other breed or is it one of the 2 in the book

I have the same engine and it not covered by the Haynes manual. However, it is similar to the 2 litre CR engine for background reading.

Its a common rail engine, you will just have to be mindful that there can be slight differences between engine codes, some more obvious than others.

I am planning to change the cam sensor and the haynes book seems to cover the larger engines only, though they may well be similar in layout
