Hello and help

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have just brought a 2009 Octavia 1.4tsi DSG what I'm very impressed with 39-48MPG!

I just have a couple of questions;

• I have the non maxidot digital display, but what are my coding options eg DRL ETC?

• I have the bolero with only a AUX/SD connection, is it possible to add Bluetooth, DAB and iPod connection or would I be better of going for something like the Dynavin N6 as I think I would prefer to keep the reverse and climate picture on the display?

• Every time I end a journey and turn off the car then go out again it seems to reset both MPG on the display, is this normal or something I can change?

Regards

Hi Luke 300586,

Welcome to the Forum.

Re your last question, did the car come with its handbooks? The Owners Manual would likely cover this; if I remember rightly, my (older) Roomster allows up to a 2-hour break of journey before it resets the journey average MPG to zero. If you need help with re-coding, if I recall, there's a national map or directory on here listing all members offering VCDS and similar help.

When I got the HID headlights kits fitted, I contacted a member in Dewsbury who did me a plug-in diagnostic check to see if anything was upset by the new gear; all was well, he emailed me the printout, and because he had'nt had to recode anything, it was all free.

Barrie, former owner of the very fast grey Vroomster, also recoded my ignition key so that one click unlocked or re-locked all doors; that was done at our National Meet at Rockingham a couple of years ago, FOC. (Free Of Charge).
