Does anyone know if you can remova of the ventilation fan without stripping the whole dash, in the Fabia 2 which has the upper half of the dash with the soft touch, as opposed to the hard faced versions?

It would seem that the dash might be in separate parts in order to facilitate the hard lower section and the soft, padded, upper type.

Hi mrgf, I had the same question in another post but nobody answered about the splitting idea of the dash..

My fan was squeeking this winter so I was scared about the operation but fortunately now is silent.

I fear that the only solution is to take all the dash apart...

Had to bite the bullet and get the dash removed, fan replaced and refitted. The fan now works perfectly, along with the air-con... Surprising how you become attached to the cooling effects!
