Cheers Gyp, I didn't know about the crank. I had planned on doing the cam chain tensioner even though the like I bought it from had said he'd already done it but you can say a lot of things when selling something. I'm also going to upgrade the ignition.

I think the cx500 turbo will turn out to be a collected classic.?

I used to have one - with Rickman fairing.

Almost but not quite literally unstoppable. Its probably still out there somewhere, chugging along

Quick update. I didn’t strip the bike down over winter due me been too busy and it was freezing. Come the spring and I had a few rides out on it and just had a laugh with it.

For the last 5 weeks of great weather I’ve not had chance to ride either of my bikes as we’ve had a four legged addition to our family, Storm an Alaskan Malamute. She came to us in a poor state and it nearly 8 years old has needed a lot of attention and re-training, hence no time to ride. Thankfully she is coming on in leaps and bounds with most people thinking she is much younger.

With 5 weeks off the bikes I decided to sell the CX500 and sold it today even managed to make some money on it too. It also makes it much easier to get the KTM out the garage now so hopefully in the near future I’ll be able to get some time on two wheels whilst the sun is shining.
