V7 Maps update?

Featured Replies

Hi All, My satnav on my 2016/2017 VRS only allows 4 digit postcodes. Apparently there is a V7 update which allows 7 digit codes to be entered. My current map box says Europe (CW45/2015) on it's reverse side. Can anyone tell me what version this is and additionally IF a v7 version does exist A: how do i get hold of it and B: why, when having entered my cars VIN code does the Skoda online system tell me there are no updates?. Oddly I can't even find a place to buy the update should I need to! Any help folks?

It is possible to input 7 digit postcodes on a 2016/2017 Octavia sat nav. Annoyingly you have to switch back to the letters keyboard to input the space the after the first part, then when you switch back to numerical input, it works!

Officially updates are available from the Skoda portal after entering your VIN, however I believe there is a thread on here which has some links for 2017 Maps and you can download them from the links [edit - this only covers MIB1 Amundsen and MIB1/2 Columbus so you won't be able to use the links if you're running MIB2 Amundsen).

My VIN also shows no updates available, so maybe this is a Skoda Update Portal issue? Maybe they have removed the current maps ready to make available the latest 2017 update, who knows.

As above, you should definitely be able to input 7 digit postcodes. My 2013 does this!

clarified systems and map link availability

On my VIN update portal works.

It is still ECE 1 2017 for Amundsen MIB2. New upgrade is announced before end of month.
