Oil Leak

Featured Replies

Very hit or miss if owners get to know about Service Campaigns / Recall Actions with Skoda, VW, Seat or Audi.

Many cars do not go to main  dealerships or do and still work passes them by.

It seems VAG don't 'admit' to recalls.

Don't think BMW do much either although they are good at just out of warranty issues they just don't like talking about it "Don't mention the Flaw"!

As an aside, you seem to be leaking pound coins too. Perhaps that is to compensate for the oil loss at around £50 of four litres?

Any update, is the new Mechatronic Control Unit fitted and the car fixed?

The car got picked up yesterday by the dealer to get the Mechatronic Control Unit fitted.

The work took longer than what they expected so didn't get the car back until today.

So not much to report so far if it has actually resolved the leak or not.

Did the new mechatronics unit fix the leak and did you have any more issues with the DSG?

@JamesGornell

I can answer with certainty that the new MCU did fix the leak.

That under warranty was at the time of the Service Campaign '34H5' being introduced which was the software update because of failures.

There are Kits now, 'actuators', refurbished MCU etc.

?

Are you having an issue with a DQ200 DSG?

This is an earlier DQ200 that was part of '34F7'.

No leaks since the work was done 6 years ago and the DSG has been working fine.

The car still only has 24k miles since new so it doesn't get used that much.
