Clutch to Floor on vRS. Master Cylinder?

Recommended Posts

Dropping someone home and I select Reverse and as I lift the clutch there's a clunk and it stalls. The pedal goes right to the floor. Guess it's this as a Google have a few cases of it. Is it an easy enough job to get done by an Indy? How much would it cost to do? My only issue is I'm in mid Wales so don't know anybody really. Getting a tow back to Swansea would be costly.

Master on the back of the pedal on the bulkhead easy. Also the slave is outside the gearbox on my 1.9 2005. Not expensive part wise £50ish I think. Your car slave could be inside the box though.

Thanks. Makes sense to be the master as I felt the clunk under my foot when it went. Apparently a weld snaps which is why it won't return
