Ok found another problem. Anyone had their wipers pack up? Drove to my friends in the rain (about 20 miles) they were working fine. Went to leave and as soon as flicked the wipers on nothing happened. So i popped the bonnet and as soon as it was open the wipers started working again. This happened twice. The wipers arent catching the bonnet so any ideas as to whats going on here?

I had that, after much part changing by the dealer it was the relay, however they also said earlier octavia wiper motors had a known issue. Not sure what that was though.
