2nd gear oddness

Featured Replies

Every now and then when going into 2nd the VRS seems to judder a bit.

Doesn't do it all the time, and not under the same circumstances either.

Rest of the time its as smooth as a babies backside.

According to the Skoda website, there is no DSG recall outstanding, and no evidence of one been done either.

Any pointers?

Do you mean when trickling along in traffic at sort of 6mph to 15 mph type oddness?

Try going into 'S' in this situation and be easy on the throttle. saves the DSG wanting to go down to 1st in D.

Or do you mean starting off from cold starts and going up 1st, to 2nd and then before 3rd?

Call a Skoda Main Dealer or look in and see if Service Campaign 34F7 applies to your car, or call Skoda UK Customer Services,

that vin checker is not always correct.

If there is a record of 34F7 been done, Mineral Oil in and a Software Update done then the sticker should be in the boot,

but maybe Skoda UK need to pay for the Software Update to be done again, & correctly, because some were not done correctly.

Trickling along in traffic mainly, but occasionally when you say come to a speed bump then set off over it, not quickly, as its a built up area.

Yeah ill give then a call as there is no evidence of the sticker in the boot either

How many miles has your car done? Likely to be the clutch pack I'd reckon.

Well that was initial thoughts but the odd timing of it confused that idea. 69k by the way on a 60 plate

Similar to what mine used to have. Worth getting it checked out if you reckon the garage will be able to replace the fault and see it for themselves.
