My Octavia, which is leased at 10k PA and has done 15k in just under 2 years, is due to be for an inspection (according to message on the infotainment system).

 

I have checked the service schedule document and it states the following - 

Page - Document of Vehicle Delivery  

Has the Vehicle an extended warranty? NO

Years - 3  or km/mile-age - blank or Miles: 30,000

 

Service Intervals Page

Fixed Service Intervals QI1 - QI4

Inspection |  QI1 - QI4  |  After the first 30,000 km or 2 years, then every 30,000 km or every 1 year

 

 

Is the document delivery page simply only referring to warranty cover and the service interval page for service?

 

My car was due to go back to the dealers next week but as my Kodiaq is on order, we extended the lease by an extra month.

Should I still carry out a service or is there a way round for the dealers to do this?

 

 

 

 

If on Variable servicing (QI6) Inspection is at 2 years or around the 18k mark I believe so yes it will be due. Even if on fixed you'd still be due a 2nd service by 20k or 2 years.

 

Who is the lease with, the dealer? If so I'd speak to them and ask if they require you to do it before return. Get written confirmation if they say you can return without having it done.
