VRS Tdi clutch sticking

Featured Replies

The clutch pedal of my 2016 VRS Tdi seems to have an intermittent fault whereby sometimes it sticks when I'm in heavy start stop traffic. It will only partially come up off the floor and I need to take it out of gear and put my food under it and push it back up.

In normal driving/traffic it seems fine, I'm contacting the dealer on Monday but was just wondering if anyone else has had similar issues?

Hi mate,

i had the thing on my 63 plate vrs, dealer replaced clutch slave cylinder which helped but did not fully resolve the issue. Car was traded not long after

Yep as whizzo says something to do with the clutch hydraulics, master or slave cylinder.

Do you sit with the clutch down for a long time? Always release the pedal as soon as you can.

Hi,

Thanks for the replies, I'm still waiting to hear back from the dealer.

Have you removed any mats to make sure the pedal is not caught on them.
