Yeti suffers first problem

Featured Replies

My door mirrors didn't unfold when inserting the key and starting the car this morning. I stopped after a minute and switched off, removed the key and tried again. Still not unfolding. I used the mirror switch on the drivers door to sort it out.

Is this likely to be a recurring problem? Is there a reset I should do?

Advice  needed please.

As an addition, what free software do members use to convert music, en masse, from iTunes format to MP3 ? ( not using iTunes as it creates two versions of each track therefore making it very laborious to change nevertheless 100 or so CDs.

Thanks,

Steve.

Mine have done this occasionally. Almost like the car forgot they were folded.

The passenger mirror has always been stiff to move as well. Sometimes doesnt completely reset after dropping down when in reverse. Manually adjustment sorts it out.

I have just lived with the minor anoyance.

Mine isn't one that drops on reversing. I thought that moving them manually was damaging to the mechanism of the mirror motor.

I wondered if a fob reset would sort it.

Steve, just use the built in system then re-sort on 'type', all your AAC's will come first then all the MP3 files. Drag/copy the MP3 files to a new folder on the desktop then simple delete the MP3 files in iTunes. Use the new folder with the MP3 files to load the SD card.

Thanks Expatman, will give it a go. Does it deal with the album art as well?

Very hit and miss with Album art, as are other systems. The Yeti system 'reads' jpeg files so artwork has to be in JPEG format. There may be software available that converts artwork to jpeg but I just downloaded artwork in JPEG format and used that instead. Easy to do but a bit time consuming if you have hundreds of albums.

If a window looses its "One Touch" operation the mirrors will not auto fold off the fob, it may be the same unfolding.

Find if a window has lost a one touch operation and if there is one close the window on the switch, release it for a second then hold it up again for about 3 seconds.
That will sort the window and may just sort the mirror as they are interlinked somewhere.
