Brake pads

Featured Replies

Can anyone tell me if changing my front brake pads needs to be done using electronic adjustment?

I don't know what you mean by electronic adjustment. It is relatively easy to change the front disks and pads with no special tools or techniques required.

Is that the same with the VRS? Have been told that the Calipers need adjusted by computer to replace the pads. It's a 63 plate

I think you're referring to a wind-back tool that's only used on the rear wheels AFAIK.

No electronic adjustment required. There is a brake wear sensor fitted to one of the pads, but simply a plug and play. If the old pads have worn to illuminate the 'brake rotor' symbol on the dash, this will extinguish when the new pads are fitted.

As per other answers, only the rear callipers require a winding tool; however, I did use a g-clamp to push in the front callipers - I'm a bit of a weakling though!

What happened to OpSec? What goes on at a Brisky meet stays on a Brisky meet and all that!
