seat memory retrofit

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I'm thinking about adding the seat memory function to my electrically adjustable seat. The car is Octy vRS II FL.

I know I have to order a memory control unit (3C0 959 760 E). I was told that I have to change the motors as well, but when I check ETKA I found that there's no different part number to indicate the motors are different.

So do I have to order a new set of adjustment motors, or the existing motors on my car without memory function will do?

Thanks,

Dylan

Trying to figure out how the memory seat works.

If the position is stored in the memory control module, then I thought it's possible not to change the motors, and by pressing the memory button, the module does what the adjust buttons do and helps adjust the seat. Can't figure out how the button positions are stored though.

If the postion is stored in the motors then they have to be changed. It is easier to be programmed but the factory has to design and manufact two different sets of motors.
