DMF, or more?

Featured Replies

So my car was bought 3 weeks ago from a Skoda dealer, it is a 2013 140hp 4x4 diesel Yeti. It has done 40,000 miles.

At first it was fine, but then I noticed the clutch pedal pulsing and vibrating a lot, even in neutral

I decided to get Skoda to check it out since it wasn't exactly a cheap car. They guy drove my car and told me it wasn't right, he wasn't sure if it was the DMF or just a bearing though. It is booked in for the 19th to have the work done.

Since then I have noticed other issues too, I will summarise them below, if you could let me know if this is all because of a failing DMF, or if it is multiple things, would be good!!

-vibrating clutch pedal

-severe rumbling from under the car when accelerating at low RPMs, I mostly notice it from 1st -> 2nd gear.

-sometimes won't go into 1st gear when at traffic lights (I have to rev the car a bit to get it to slot in).

-feels difficult to get into 2nd and sometimes 3rd.

-there is a rattling most of the time from the engine bay when the car is idling and also since yesterday, when I engage reverse gear, the car makes a rattling sound (I will attach recording of the sound if I can!)

- (this may be nothing, but I tried to see if the clutch was slipping, so I put it in 3rd and as I rose the clutch, the car slowly moved and the RPMs rose very slightly. However, this may be just because I was very very slow with the clutch? I didn't fully take my foot off the pedal, so I can't say if it would have stalled or not)

So far that's what I have noticed, any help would be appreciated!
