I'm a first time Skoda owner from the UK, living in Holland. I've just bought a 2014 Octavia Estate BusinessLine Elegance with DSG. It is taking a while getting used to the comfort and complexity after running a 2000 Defender for the last 9 years ( I still haven't found the Octavia's vent-flap levers ;-) )

 

I have a few questions regarding automatic parking and upgrading the firmware of the Columbus unit.

 

I'm loving the comfort, air-con, efficiency and quietness.

 

 

Welcome along!  The Defender is a great machine but refinement isn't its strong point.

Deaf-initely not ;-)

 

I keep having to look at the Speedo of the Octavia - in the Defender you could tell what speed you were doing by the amount of noise, but modern cars are so very quiet.

 

I can do 60MPH and still have a conversation with my passenger - amazing.
