Octavia dsg7 problems

Featured Replies

first off all, sorry for my bad english im from sweden :

Hi, last year  I bought an Octavia 2012 diesel with DSG 7 box from Börjessons car(a dealer here in my town) with one year warranty. The car has been serviced with them since day one, in total 3 times plus the last time when  another company change oil, oil filters, and brake fluid because the time I received at Börjessons was after vacation but I wanted to do Service before because service was due in 500 km so i said wtf lets do it so i dont have to think about it.

When I come home after picking up the car from the shop, the engine light lights up and you see a wrench saying something is crazy and I'm trying to park the car in the garage, but neither the drive or the reverse do not work, but the car only revs when you gas like you are in neutral. I then shut the car and call a tow truck and they take it to Börjessons and now that I have read a bit about Dsg 7 boxes, I start to panic. The car's warranty (one year that I received) expired 3 weeks ago, the car has traveled 124000 km which is about 4000 km over where my insurance covers machine problems / faliures but as said the car has been serviced as it should so I wonder a little If there is anything skoda or their salesmen usually help when it comes to these haunted dsg boxes or will I pay the whole thing by myself ?

Have read in my service book that no service or control has been carried out by them on the automatic box, should you really be able to sell a car with such an important part without even having service on it?

thanks in advance

There are known issues with some 7 speed DSG and there Your Skoda dealer should be aware and the fact it's out of warranty they should still fix it.
