Incorrect range display

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Yesterday I removed my instrument cluster to replace LEDs, I messed up my pointer position on the Speedo so I had to take it in and out of the car a few times to adjust. Annoyingly I forgot to disconnect the battery on one of the disconnects but after getting the resultant airbag light cleared I wrongly thought my troubles we over. I have just refueled the car and the range display now reads 330 miles when it should be over 600. Any ideas where to go with this?

Cheers

If you've had the battery out, it'll take the car a while to figure out the true range again.

Give it 100 miles and see how it is :)

Thanks, I'll see how it goes!

@CraigEVD - What @langers2k says is correct if you have a full tank. If you only have a part tank, the available and total range computations will be based on the actual fuel contents rather than the tank capacity.
