Change of wheel size

Featured Replies

I am thinking of changing the 18" Wheels on my 2016 Superb and am wondering if by changing to 19" will this change the speedometer reading and also things like displayed fuel consumption figures.

In my mind I'm thinking that a larger wheel will turn less for a given distance or travel further foe each revolution of the wheel.

can someone help me with this please?

Many Thanks

this depends more on Tires not Alloy's inches

have changed stock Pirellis to Michelin

215/55R17    diameter: 26.3"

225/55R17    diameter: 26.7" (+1.5% +1cm)

now Speedometer shows only +~2km/h when compared to GPS

before were +~5km
