Where is lateral acceleration sensor?

Featured Replies

I've finally got VAG-COM working with my laptop, with the following result from my Octavia I 4x4:

Control Module Part Number: 1C0 907 379 F

Component and/or Version: ESP ALLRAD MK60 0104

Software Coding: 0023174

Work Shop Code: WSC 31480

1 Fault Found:

01423 - Lateral Acceleration Sensor (G200)

012 - Electrical Fault in Circuit

Before I take the car to a dealer again, I'd like to try cleaning up the connector to the sensor. I've done a search on the web and some people say it's in the dash, others say it's in the middle of the car near the handbrake or even underneath.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Cheers

Dont know about the Octavia but in the Superb it's underneath the rear seat. it will have to be in a fairly central point in the car to be able to function correctly.

I've got VAG-COM, jst one thought though, that car looks like an Octy II A5 platform, wonder if sensor is place differently on Octy I A4?

OK, I've had a quick look, removed underdash tray, and panel in footwell below bonnet release, can't see anything remotely like it (apparantly I'm looking for a black box with a gold connector), just a bunch of relays.

Will take a look again tomorrow during the day, anyone tell me how to remove bit of dash below steering column, the bit with the headlight switch in? Have remove one screw on left and two on right around fusebox, but feels like it's still attached at the top just to the right of steering column.

Cheers
