Goodbye Fabia Mk1 VRS, Hello S3

Featured Replies

Just a quick post to say Au Revoir. I have sold my 2004 Mk1 Fabia VRS and have bought a nearly new (3 months old) Audi S3 sportback. I had tremendous fun in my Fabia, had it from new, took it repeatedly over the Alps, found out how fast it would go on the Autobahns (137 mph but it felt like it would take off).

In 110,000 miles of driving it was the most reliable car I have ever owned. It broke down once in 13 years -an intercooler hose blew off when I pushed the car hard on an Alpine pass at 10,000 feet. That was fixed with a new clip. It had one new clutch at 95,000 miles -pretty good!

My Fabia has not gone to the scrappers -I looked it up and it is taxed for another year so I hope someone has fun and reliable motoring for years to come.

Anyway, thanks for all the help and tips over the years and all the best.

Stephen
