Hazard relay will not go back in

Featured Replies

Hi, after perusing the forum's search feature I'm at a loss as to why mine is the only Octy which doesn't want to accept either a new hazard relay, or the old one. I'm replacing it because I've had the infamous clicking.

I can push them all the way in, then apply some leverage to the corners with tools but neither unit will actually seat themselves fully within the slot. If I try to use the trim to keep them in place, they either push the trim back out, or else the hazard switch ends up jammed half-in and can't be pressed.

Completely befuddled, as others' guides on this forum said to simply push it in (with some extra pressure on the corners or edges).

I'm fairly certain there must be some technique I'm missing, as even the old one won't go back in!

Well this is awkward; I take it that no one else has had this issue?
