Emissions recall

Featured Replies

I have recently had a letter from Skoda asking for me to drop my Octavia FL Vrs Estate in for an ECU update. Has anyone else had this done?

what can I expect?

thanks in advance. Dan

Sorry to hi jack the thread. How do you know say with VCDS if the fix has been applied to your engine?

I can call the dealer and ask and they say no. How can you check yourself even though they say no and there is no sticker in the boot to say done.

The ECU SW version should tell you. If it's 9977 or above, it's probably had the fix done :)

Thanks for this, forgive my ignorance I have 2 VCDS prints potentially before and after fix could have occurred. Where do I look or do I actually have to plug the car in again ?

It's shown in an autoscan, for instance my ECU originally had 7100 installed:

Address 01: Engine (J623-CFHC)       Labels: 03L-906-018-CFF.clb
   Part No SW: 03L 906 018 C    HW: 03L 906 018 BR
   Component: R4 2,0L EDC   H24 7100

Feel free to post before/after scans if you want confirmation :)

I would never have found that.

Good news is dealer never updated it Friday, it seems.

First one was before service shows 7828 and the one after my replacement EGR/Turbo same value.
