FM/DAB reception

I have had my 15 plate Superb for about a year and I am very pleased with it with one main exception.  I don't rate the radio reception.  Whilst I am aware that DAB tends to lose its signal when travelling any distance but often I get virtually no DAB signal at all for quite a few miles and at times the FM signal drops out.  Anyone else had this experience?  I don't want to go back to the dealer if this is a common unfixable issue.  I was spoilt with my previous car, an Audi A6 because I gather it has two receivers.  The second one always hunting for a replacement in case of loss of reception.
