Comms / dnc software help (again)

Got a problem at work again with our dnc machine progam software

ive got to work out what machine is on witch com port

at the moment i can use our dnc software open a port test it and it shwos

4 lights - if it is connected two my testing plug thing

3 lights - if its connected to a machine

2 lights - if its dissconnected

great but ive got 40 com to go through :( :(

i want some software that will display lots of ports and there status (plugged in dissconnected etc)

then i can just get sombody to go to each machine un plug it and note what light tuned on against what port

does anybody know anysooftware that can do this

if not im going to just going to have to give it to our maintenanence department to sort out :rolleyes:
