Can anyone tell me where the switch is located on the boot for the interior light?

 

been looking around and can't see anything and need to test it as can't get the light working.

Think you'll find it's part of the boot lock.

The hatch is 'powered' so maybe the latch mechanism.

Urrell is correct, it is part of the boot locking mechanism.

I don't know what the Aussie is on about, as the hatch is not "powered"!

Probably that it's an electric powered tailgate release rather than just a mechanical handle/lever release.

It has power to the wiper, like every other similar vehicle, so anything else is relatively simple.

Lights used to be triggered by a 'button' which the hatch made contact with, but I guess it's cheaper and more simple to attach it to the latch mechanism...........no?.
