I'm sure everyone else knows about them but I discovered them today by mistake by pressing the eco leaf.

Haven't seen these before, looks like a MIB2 thing. They forgot the "leave engine switched off" - it's a great one for saving fuel that ;)

Surprised it doesn't say 'Take the bus' or 'Walk more'.  The nanny state we expect but a nanny car?

A bit surprised about the recommendation of a low viscosity oil?

Does that mean the stuff they advise us to use in the manuals is unsuitable?

It is a bit of a strange suggestion; most people will be using 0w30 or 5w30 already which are relatively low viscosity oils.

Well maybe its remind people not to start topping up with some 20W/50 from the 80s they've found in their shed.

and overrun-fuel-cutoff is contradictory to the "coasting" of the gearbox in eco-mode.

 

I get the feeling "coasting" is implemented because this is perhaps what most people think is more economical rather than it being actually the case in some circumstance.
