VCDS Adaptations on FL OIII

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I was playing around with VCDS tonight, trying some adaptations. One thing I noticed from the guides in the sticky is that some things seem to have changed on the FL. I struggled with the speed limit sign recognition, although I believe I have everything I need for it. I got fogs coded as CH/ LH, dip wing mirror in reverse, volume to fill tank and maybe another that i've forgotten about. Oh yeah, it was lap timer, but i disabled that one as I can't see i'll ever use it.

For any adaptations where there is a change, what's the best way to go about getting that information out there? Just create a thread for each one?

Cheers!

There doesn't seem to be much around for the FL at the moment but it's still fairly new. All I've done so far is activate rear lights as DRL, climate fan speed in auto, 4 flashes for comfort indicator and fuel refill quantity. Think I'm stopping there just now as I'm far from an expert.

Interesting that fogs as CH/LH lights is the same coding so I'll probably do that as well.

Things I'd like? "Eyelash" lights on with DRLs. Think that's my wish list really. But, like I said I'm no expert and rely on those on this forum and others who take the time to experiment and do write ups. And for that, I'm very grateful.

Eyelash lights? I'm new to the octavia so you've just thrown me a curve ball completely haha!

(owned various a4's for the last 8 years so not new to vag, just to skoda)

The ch/lh adaptation is a little different, and I find the drop down list titles in the adaptation moduke to be a little different on the facelift, but it's doable with some careful searching.

Turn your side lights or main beam on and within the light cluster youll see several eye lash style light bars that run from the front to the rear of the cluster. They're also on the Superb.

I might hold off on the fogs just now then.

Are those lines actively lit in the facelift? The Pre-facelift has them but they are just a static design and the light fill comes from the 501/W5W sidelight bulb.

Pretty cool if those strips inside are now lit by individual LEDs! :)

They are indeed now lit. I'll try and get a pic after I'm out of soft play with the kids haha.

Nothing like chilling on Briskoda to pass the time when the kids are at soft play! I do exactly the same... B)

Oh yeah, I've seen those stripes of light. I haven't looked closely though and just assumed they were more of a light channel. I'll look into coding them when I have some free time and see what I can get.

Thanks!
