Oil catch tank

Featured Replies

Out of interest-

is anyone/ has anyone ran an oil catch tank on the breather system of a mk2 vrs?

My motor is still using oil after it's fixes, not massively so.  But I run an oil separator and catch tank on my 80's Escort RS which catches any blow by vapour- I'm contemplating bunging a catch tank inline with my vrs's breather recirc feed and wondering if anyone else has done this before?

Cheers!

I use two drossels (plugs with a 2,5 mm hole) in the tube from engine to manifold and air filter. Fabia I . It work.

If you have had the breathers, software, squirters, software then a catch can is a waste of time you are needing a new engine, or piston, rings, scrappers, ie a rebuild or a new engine, or just use 5w 40 FS VW502 00 and keep topping it up.
