Featured Replies

Well little Lexi, swmbo's Citigo, is due her first NCT this morning...

Im not massively expecting it to pass tbh, reckon the usual easy fail and full retest of arb bushes or droplinks...

Will know by 10am though.

Bugger just remembered ive to take off the hub caps :(

Just went and checked, theres double the legal limit on them and loads on the rears, but equally for the sake of cost and safety...

New shoes imminent

I'd have been surprised if it had failed on anything mechanical. They usually just sail through even with high miles. But well done and best wishes to Lexi.

The wonders of the NCT system... they generally find something poxy to fail you on to get a retest, and it boosts the stats on why the test is so important finding all these vehicle defects. Quite a few cars go in for their first test at 4yrs old and fail on minor things.

Generally arb bushes or drop links are a nice easy one, and its a full retest as it has to go through the suspension testing and visual exam on the ramp again...

Now where it is set up better than the MOT is that its administered by an independent organisation who do not carry out any work on vehicles, which removes the garage man tester failing a vehicle to get work out of fixing it.
