only you can make that decision. as for going just as much power as possible 115k if it hasn't had a clutch replaced yet it will come around much quicker with a remap as with a lot of other components dmf cv joints etc, as with the increased power comes increased part failure rates. just something to be aware of.

remapping is always the preferred option over a chip/tuning box just make sure you use a good company with known reliable mapping -

Personally I will agree with Gissin.

I too agree with Gissin.

I've had mine custom mapped by Narco Tuning, to 230bhp area (2.0tdi BKD) whilst on 140k miles. But I had already checked over the parts and overall engine health, Not to mention replacing/changing parts which were going to be under more stress (Clutch/Flywheel/Boost pipes ect)

But it's down to you, if you want max power, then you're going to need to spend money else where to make sure it's going to cope. A little bit more power with eco on the side I think would be more realistic without straining everything else.

I'm soon to go down this route, just had turbo actuator replaced first as it was leaking.

Im going for dpf gut and remap.

May as well get rid of restrictions while it's in.

Ill be left with visible dpf and fittings but gutted, no dash lights and more power ☺️

I think il go down the mixture of power and Eco as I should get around 190 bhp hopefully!
