a/c sevice

Featured Replies

Would appreciate advice on this.Have now done 920000 miles, since new 9/2011 have not had service on the a/c, but way back in 2014 the a/c rad leaked and Skoda fitted new one. I mention that as I do not know whether fitting that might also be equivelent to a service, any comments guys?.

Generally advocated that a/c should be re-charged every two to three years as there is inevitable leakage from the system, so on that basis yours is about due.

I just had mine done at a Formula One Autocentre which happened the most convenient place for me.  They charge £45 but I found an on-line booking Vouchercode that gave me another £5 off that.  Having read that it is equally important to have the system cleaned to prevent smells, I also got them to do that too.

@pastiche - I won't recommend a company (not least because several of the "at home" services are franchises) but yes get a re-charge/basic service.
