To swap a lease deal ?

Featured Replies

A hypothetical question ; if I wanted to swap my existing PCH ( lease) deal early for another PCH deal ( same Skoda finance company) would I need to clear the remaining payments or would / could they be cleared by signing a new agreement ? For example, current Octavia part way through its PCH deal but now fancy a Superb on a new PCH, extending the lease period - any chance, without breaking the bank !? JKW

I spoke with VWFS about something similar a few weeks ago as I've got 6 months left on my current PCH agreement and am looking at getting another Skoda, but perhaps before my current deal runs out (not many Yetis left now).

I was told that I would have to pay a percentage of the outstanding balance to clear it, I think that it was around 50%.

A quick phone call to VWFS will give you a settlement figure.

Your new dealer can do a "Preferential Termination" where they buy the car from VWFS, which then allows you to move on. The problem is that lots of dealers don't want to get involved because they end up paying a bit more for your car than they normally would and they don't make a lot on a PCH. You may stand a better chance if you went down the PCP route.

Your other option is the settlement figure (as above) which you can get off your online account log in

Thanks for the replies guys - I'm probably not far enough into my current agreement to make a settlement figure viable, but the "Preferential Termination" is a possibility - watch this space !
