  1. Have a look on the threads by MartiniB, he posts links to the updates and guides on how to download them

  3. You're still going to need to replace the original key so you can remove the original locking bolts before you can fit the new bolts from your new kit.
  4. I paid mine off a few days after getting the car. Spoke to a lovely woman at VWFS who advised it would work out cheaper if I "Withdraw from the finance" rather than go down the early settlement route - All paid off by bank transfer later that day I also asked her to check if the servicing, roadside assistance, warranty and MOT package would be affected by paying it off early and she said no, and confirmed that everything was in place. Give them a ring, I found them very helpful and they will keep you right - apparently it happens all the time.
  5. You could try rebooting it by pressing the on/off button when the unit is switched on and keeping it held in until the screen goes off and then comes back on again, and then release the button. It shouldn't delete any settings off your system.
  6. I bought a 66 plate Rapid Spaceback SE Tech last October with 6.5k miles and a full dealer service history. Everything was fine with it up until December last year when I started to get a feint click when turning the steering wheel side to side (at about 11 o'clock & 1 o'clock positions) which steadily got worse over the next couple of months. I got in touch with the garage I bought it from (who have been brilliant) and they tried a few things to solve it - greased the universal joints in the column, then replaced the lower column and universal joints and now they have replaced the complete column which seemed to sort it but having been out in the car yesterday & today ( it doesn't get a lot of use) i've noticed the feint clicking noise is back, albeit not all the time but definitely there every now and then but without any sort of pattern. If anyone has had the same issues or has any suggestions what it could be, I'm all ears
  7. Check the light switch hasn't been turned on - especially if you have "little" people in the back. The light will go out when you lock the car as it shuts down all sorts of things, but will come when you unlock and stay on with the ignition. There's a few posts about this across all models.
  8. Try pressing the lock button on the remote twice (straight after each other). It works on our 2020 model and on my old 2014 Leon (gone but not forgotten) but my 2017 golf has the pushbutton on the pillar - strange
  9. I'd imagine that they would knock it back with the car being a taxi. My mate used to have his Octavia taxi serviced at the main deaer without issue but when it came to warranty repairs, he was told using it as a taxi voids the warranty.
  10. My thinking was to upload your music to a USB and then use this to upload to "The Jukebox" which hopefully would help to rule out the file format your using, your SD card etc.
  11. Did the early Columbus not have an internal HDD that you could upload to? I'm sure the manual described it a "Jukebox". I'm pretty sure my 16 plate did.
  12. Glad you've got it sorted at a "reasonable" price but it still leaves a bitter taste, still could have been a lot worse at £1200😉
