Best dog guard and divider - 2017 Scout Estate

Featured Replies

I've done a search and found a few threads on this subject but none that recent so hope people don't mind me posting this again?

We are getting a new puppy in September and as such I need to sort out a boot liner, dog guard and divider. Is the Travall kit still the best one? It looks pricey at £110 each for the divider and guard plus the liner so wonder if there are cheaper good alternatives out there?

Anyone??

I've got a Guardsman dog guard and Skoda bootliner you can have for £100 if you want, don't have a divider though (I'm in Harrogate)

Thanks for the offer, do they do a divider that works with that setup?

I have the Travall pet barrier and here in Aus it was the cheapest option at the time and I like that it is removable and requires no drilling to attach it.

Have you already got the car?

The new 2017 has an option for a roll-up divider, attaches to back of seats and can attach to roof. Factory fit option. Not sure how it would fare with a bigger dog though.

BootBuddy for the liner, buy a cage, safer for you and the dog. Guardsman and MMG make good cages, strong and secure but dear (you only get what you pay for).

I agree with esss. A large dog crate would definitely do the trick. All worth it and safe for both you and the dog, as esss had mentioned.

I have a Trans K9 dog cage that (luckily) fits both my Octavia Scout and my Cayenne. I've been to many an RTC where the dog has run off scared witless when it's only way of being kept safe is a dog guard (or more often nothing at all)
