Over heating warning

Featured Replies

I have a 1.6 tdi Octavia Elegance 2013 with 24,000 miles on the clock. I have had the overheating warning light come on twice in two months and the temperature Gage goes  up to the top but the oil temperature  is only showing 94/97 c. This has happened twice just after I I set out and reached about 60 mph. I slowed down to find somewhere to stop and everything goes back to normal before I stop so I carry on  slowly building up to 60/70 mpg and everything stays normal. I have checked the Oil and water and all is OK. Can anybody tell me what is going on with this overheating warning?
