flat spot

Featured Replies

2008 Fabia 1.9tdi,

Car runs well and no warning lights are coming up, scenario is driving around it hits a "flat spot" just around 1.5 2k revs, its a blip , about 2 seconds if that, but you notice it, i checked all the intake pipes and notice the "o" ring is missing on the throttle body housing , so one has been ordered as its just rattling about in there, i truly hope it is this,

I did'nt notice this before, as the car has been parked up for 2 months in a garage,

if anyone has advice it would be gratefully received,

regards

Martin

Sounds like the EGR valve, usually hesitates for a second around 1,700rpm on full throttle, then pulls well all the way to redline etc?

Hiya pal, yes exactly that.

will investigate further when i fit the seal tomorrow.

Thanks

It's a known issue, you can buy the revised gasket that had a much smaller hole to fix the issue, have a search for BLT hesitation to see if it matches any other of your symptoms.
