Aerial and amplifier part codes

Featured Replies

Hi all,

My aerial/amplifier on my '06 estate has given up the ghost, I've got no radio signal at all now, it has been degrading over a course of weeks. I've read other posts saying that they can fail.

Resigned to the fact I cant live without radio I will be replacing it even though it means messing with the headliner. My request is, does anyone know the part code for the aerial base/amplifier as well as the whip aerial itself? Also, can it be bought online rather than through Skoda, I just cant seem to find the right parts?

Alternatively, seeing as I need to replace the whole lot, is there a neater shark fin style aerial that would suitable and would fit my car? I have an OE Blaupunkt CD based sat nav headunit (MFD2 I think it is) so I think I may need an aerial capable of finding  a GPS signal?

All help appreciated.

If you remove the aerial you'll probably find the part number on the underside. You'll also find out what fittings the connection cables need which will help you source a new one. I've a feeling that you'll either need one just the same or have to use an adapter to the newer style aerial connections.
