Fabia running issues please help

Featured Replies

Hello guys my friend is having some issues and I was wondering if anyone can please help.

so the car is a 2011 fabia monte 1.6tdi its around 110bhp. So the exhaust was blowing just below the flex on the manifold, he removed the manifold and got it repaired. After refitting the car ran but when he drove it there was no boost. So tem minutes later start the car and it would idle for around 10-20 seconds and die over and over.  In the few seconds before it would cut out if you touched the accelerator it would die straight away same thing if you put it in gear and tried to set off with the clutch. After a while the car refused to even start and still refuses to start.

He had the codes reads and are as follows

p0113 intake temp sensor

p242a exhaust temp sensor

p0299 turbo under boost condition

p0113 intake air temp circuit high input

p242b exhaust gas temp sensor 3 performance bank 1

p0299 turbo under boost condition

Any help would be greatly appreciated

thanks

What was removed when being repaired?

The flexi, pipe and DPF are all one unit so was the DPF removed also?

Theres a lot of important wiring and sensors around that area so I'm going to guess one of them has been damaged.

more so because you need to drop the subframe to replace the DPF properly, if they didn't it would have been removed with excess force in the wrong areas

He tells me there is 3sensors and they where unplugged and removed before taking off the down pipe. Anyway can I ask do u think that say one of these sensors got broken or damaged on removal would it cause it to do this. Thanks
