Bolero revamp?

Featured Replies

Saw this article on a Redline trim Fabia:

Noticed that the infotainment system is looking quite different - anyone know if it's just inherited the updated VAG group system, or is it a simple software update? Icons, home screen etc are quite different to my MY17 car.

at a guess its the skoda care connect system

optional on new fabia's

It looks much more like the systems in the new Golf, Octy, etc etc. I'm guessing this is the 'MIB III' version  (MIB I was in the early Golf 7s, the MIB II added smartphone mirroring, and is what's been in all Fabia IIIs)

THats what I thought... would be good if previous versions could be updated. Stuff like this shows how far some manufacturers are behind Tesla who allow existing owners to benefit from software updates...

Ah but Mr Tesla is fully focussed on electrickery. Mr Skoda...and the vast majority of other motor manufacturers....are focussed on combustible liquids and controlled mini-explosions. Electrickery is, or has been, something of an after thought; some toys to amuse the kiddies, if you will.  And Mr Tesla charges somewhat more for his toys than does Mr Skoda.
